Title: Zappo Client: Trouw
Goal: After having worked at the christmas edition with the art director for the Trouw newspaper Erik Terlouw, the idea for a weekly visual collumn arose.
The series ran for half a year after which my employer at the time, the Algemeen Dagblad newspaper began to voice its uncomfortability with me working for another newspaper.
Another half year later I was awarded a prize for the series by the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts

Goal: Iillustration for the weekly collumn i was doing for the dutch daily Trouw. This week a new 100 guilder banknote was introduced. The different security marks and printtechnique that was used called for mixed reactions from the [ublic. One of the reactions was that "the small gold sun washed away at 40 degrees if left in the wash..." My comment to that was that if you washed it real good one would end up with 25 guilders only...

Goal: illustration for the weekly collumn i was doing for the dutch daily Trouw. This particular week the NASA lost the Marsobserver. Logic dictates it was probably struck by a meteorite. I created a huge scary black hole to illustrate the wild rumours that surrounded the dissapearance. Groups in the USA claimed that Nasa had made the observer dissapear on purpose because they had discovered life on mars... There was this image circulating of a face that seemed carved out of rock on the Mars surface. NASA's comment to all of this was "Don't these people know that the king lives on Mars these days?"
